Provides supervised clinical experiences that integrate pathophysiology and pharmacology principles in assessment, diagnosis, and management of common acute and chronic conditions in primary care. Emphasizes clinical decision making for middle adolescents, adults, and older adults across community and long-term care settings. Offers students an opportunity to apply evidence-based approaches while developing competencies in interdisciplinary collaboration, consultation, and appropriate referral. Supports progressive development of independent clinical practice through direct patient care experiences.
