Emphasizes health assessment, screening, and risk identification across diverse populations. Offers students an opportunity to integrate health behavior theories and to develop culturally responsive approaches that address social determinants of health. Focuses on building beginning competencies in the adult nurse practitioner role through application of evidence-based strategies for health maintenance and disease prevention.
