Traces the evolution of sustainable development from its historical foundations to contemporary challenges, exploring how strategic visioning, stakeholder engagement, and policy interventions can drive long-term transformation. Examines critical tensions inherent in sustainability work—including managing trade-offs between natural resource protection and human needs, navigating diverse stakeholder interests, and identifying the funding challenges and opportunities for sustainability priorities. Offers students an opportunity to build analytical and practical skills to design, advocate for, and implement sustainability strategies that bridge vision and reality.
