Explores theories of health promotion and health maintenance. Discusses the impact of political, psychological, sociological, and physiological factors as they impact the care of the adult and older adult. Emphasizes the role of the advanced-practice nurse practitioner as a member of collaborative teams, consultant, and model of health behaviors.
