Explores the role of strategic human resources management and planning in the public and nonprofit sectors to develop ways to supervise, motivate, and evaluate employees and volunteers. Identifies techniques for job analysis and design and recruiting, selecting, and managing employees, including onboarding and orientation strategies. Considers the importance of benefits and total compensation to strategic human resources. Develops techniques in human resources to ensure a diverse workforce, including affirmative action and equal opportunity. Researches human resources law to consider its role in strategic workforce management. Explores opportunities and value in creating a healthy and productive work environment.
