Explores Al tools and their utility in creating content, telling stories, and enhancing related workflows for user cases such as public relations and communications, advocacy and social impact, journalism and news, strategic social media campaigning, and the influencer-creator economy. Examines prompt engineering as a new discipline of structured, logical techniques for effective communication. Investigates capacities and functionality of generative Al tools that span text, images, visualization, and multimodal domains. Studies ethical frameworks to guide Al-driven media work and understand emerging societal issues that touch on areas such as deception, autonomy, agency, and transparency. Offers students an opportunity to actively interrogate limitations and biases of generative Al models and engage in debates relating to the development of responsible AI.
