Introduces low-volatility investing. Low-volatility investing is an approach to security selection and portfolio construction that favors low-volatility securities and portfolios. Covers the capital asset pricing model, along with more current research, illustrating that low-volatility securities outperform their risk-adjusted benchmarks. Includes other topics such as identifying low-volatility securities, constructing low-volatility portfolios, and exploring the effects of leverage. Uses a high-level programming language for examples and applications.
