Connects theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real-life innovations. Identifies the conceptual framework of existing technological innovations and the conceptual aspects of students' own research activities. Offers students an opportunity to propose innovative strategies to connect their research activities to real-life applications and to learn the basics of mentoring to be able to transfer their knowledge and expertise to their peers or to undergraduate students. Students attend workshops on effective teaching and mentoring and mentor undergraduate students under the supervision of experienced academic and/or industrial mentors.
