Introduces topic-specific creative fabrication processes appropriate for the creation of three-dimensional form. Possible topics include wearable technology, soft sculpture, toy design, and inflatables. Focuses on making as a pragmatic and unconventional approach to creative research. Offers students an opportunity to refine physical making skills and conceptually explore materials, tools, and sustainable processes to develop a personal design approach in response to the course topic. Introduces design for manufacturability concepts and contextualizes work drawing from sustainable design frameworks. May be repeated twice.
