PSY 2700 — Psychology of Mindfulness and Applied Practice

Examines mindfulness from psychological and neuroscientific perspectives while presenting evidence-based mindfulness techniques for mental health, cognitive enhancement, and personal well-being. Draws on current research in clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and contemplative science to explore how mindfulness practices produce measurable changes in attention, emotional regulation, stress resilience, and overall psychological functioning. Bridges theory and applied practice, with an emphasis on tools for personal, professional, and community efficacy.
