NRSG 7700 — The Science of Nursing

Introduces basic concepts in the philosophy of science and the development of knowledge. Explores the historical development and themes for knowledge building in nursing and healthcare. Offers students an opportunity to analyze different ways of knowing and world views as they relate to the development of programs of research in nursing and their area of research interest. Examines scientific literature, identification of gaps in knowledge, and the development of research questions to begin the process of developing a research plan.
