Provides clinical experience with individuals and families throughout the life span in a psychiatric mental health setting in the advanced practice nursing role. Includes a didactic seminar that focuses on assessment of psychopathology and mental health, psychodiagnostic history taking, mental status evaluation, differential diagnosis, and treatment for various aged diverse clients. Direct care hours are completed toward certification eligibility. Offers an opportunity to demonstrate achievement of entry-level advanced practice skills.
