Explores the ethnic, cultural, psychosocial, developmental, gender-specific, and physical aspects of health, including social determinants that impact client outcomes. Offers students opportunities to demonstrate effective therapeutic communication, holistic health assessment techniques, and nursing skills to effectively plan care and implement patient-focused interventions. Covers how to apply empathetic and effective communication with clients and other members of the interprofessional team.
