Offers students an opportunity to participate in an intermediate/advanced-level performance ensemble consisting of standard orchestral instrumentation (violins, violas, cellos, basses, woodwinds, brass, and percussion). Repertoire includes musical works selected from the canon of Western art music, representing the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, as well as numerous 20th- and 21st-century styles. Requires audition or permission of instructor. May be repeated up to eight times.
