Offers a comprehensive introduction to the broader Medical Affairs (MA) function and the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) profession within MA. Offers an overview of how MA operates and interfaces with clinical development, health economics and outcomes research, medical information, and commercial groups within appropriate compliance boundaries. Explores how MSLs create value through non-promotional scientific exchange with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other health care professionals (HCPs). Builds core competencies, including scientific literacy, evidence and data fluency across clinical trials, real-world evidence, KOL identification and segmentation, engagement planning, and advanced communication. Provides opportunities to develop active listening and emotional/competitive intelligence skills.
