ITC 6721 — Data Engineering for Intelligent Systems
3 semester hoursGraduateLecture
Presents the design and implementation of data architectures that power intelligent systems, including machine learning applications and generative AI solutions. Explores principles and tools of modern data engineering: building reliable, scalable pipelines that support real-time and batch processing; unstructured and structured data; and AI-ready data workflows. Topics include data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using contemporary frameworks; integration with cloud-based storage and computer systems; and deployment of data pipelines that feed into AI/ML models and large language models. Emphasizes embedding pipelines, feature stores, vector databases, and operational data workflows that support AI at scale.
