DANC 3030 — Experiential Anatomy

Offers students an opportunity to develop a practical, functional, and theoretical understanding of basic anatomical terms and principles. Applies current dance research in kinesiology and physiology to concepts of movement analysis, alignment assessment, and performance enhancement. Introduces a kinesthetic exploration of skeletal joint mechanics and the muscles that produce motion of those joints. Students apply movement analysis to the evaluation of dance technique of themselves and others.
