CHEM 5624 — Soft Materials Laboratory

1 semester hoursGraduateLab

Explores the synthesis, characterization, and application of soft materials. Encompasses the synthesis and post-functionalization of polymers, as well as their characterization using diverse techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, rheology, mechanical testing, size exclusion chromatography, among others. Explores the application of the synthesized materials in drug delivery, sustainability, and pollution remediation. Offers students interested in the synthesis and characterization of soft materials an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience.
