Explores the role of mindfulness-based interventions in promoting physical health and managing chronic conditions. Examines physiological mechanisms of stress and evidence-linking practices such as mindfulness-based stress reduction, mindful eating, yoga, and tai chi to outcomes related to cardiometabolic, immune, and other health domains. Considers health equity and cultural adaptation in the design and application of interventions. Offers students an opportunity to analyze current research and connect theory with practice across multiple health domains.
