Presents a comprehensive molecular technique for bacterial, yeast, and plant identification as well as gene expression studies and cloning methods. Emphasizes 16S rRNA and ITS region analysis, DNA sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis to classify microorganisms. Offers opportunity for students to develop skills in quantitative real-time PCR (rt-qPCR) for gene expression. Provides hands-on experience with cloning, transformant selection, and enzyme activity assays. Offers opportunities to analyze rt-qPCR data. Emphasizes critical analysis and problem solving in experimental workflows. Combines theoretical principles with practical applications and offers students the opportunity to develop advanced skills in molecular biology and biotechnology.
