ARTS 5200 — Drawing from Object to Concept

Covers the practice of drawing as a fundamental mode of communication and tool for ideation. Teaches drawing through observation of real-world objects and conceptualization of abstract ideas related to personal interests. Develops practical skills to construct two-dimensional images, become familiar with a range of traditional drawing materials, and integrate digital techniques. Focuses on process, perception, critical dialogue, and self-directed research.
