Examines how to interpret financial data in a business environment increasingly shaped by analytics, transparency, and blockchain applications. Introduces traditional approaches to ratio analysis, profitability assessment, and forecasting while also examining the impact of emerging technologies on financial reporting. Emphasizes how blockchain-enabled audit trails enhance assurance, strengthen data integrity, and reduce fraud risk, as well as the accounting and reporting challenges posed by blockchain-based digital assets. Offers students an opportunity to develop the skills needed to analyze and interpret corporate financial statements.
